Vern acts as general counsel to the group. He is a former partner at a big-4 accounting firm, and has extensive experience in many areas of indirect taxes, including GST/HST and PST. He also represents clients in tax audits and appeals before the Canada Revenue Agency, and has represented clients at the Tax Court of Canada. Vern is a serial entrepreneur and is a co-founder of several start-up businesses. He completed his B.A. and LL.B. in 2001. He also obtained a Master of Taxation degree in 2003 before being called to the Ontario Bar in 2004.
